A new initiative, titled “Little Palestine Verified,” has been launched to promote and recognize Arab-owned businesses within the Little Palestine region. This program aims to help visitors and community members easily identify local businesses that contribute to the area’s vibrant cultural and economic landscape.
Arab-American Business and Professional Association President Rush Darwish expressed his enthusiasm for this effort, emphasizing its importance in regional development. “We recently passed the Little Palestine Day Resolution on April 7th in Springfield, and it’s vital to continue building momentum to make Little Palestine an economic hub and a premier Illinois tourist destination,” he stated.
Businesses are encouraged to create a free profile at https://www.visitlittlepalestine.com, which serves as a platform for recognition and promotion. Participating businesses will receive a Little Palestine Verified sticker, to be displayed prominently at their locations, showcasing their support for the community.
To qualify, businesses must be located within the designated boundaries of Little Palestine, extending from 79th Street and Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview to Harlem College Drive in Palos Heights. The region also spans from 87th Street and Ridgeland Avenue to Roberts Road in Bridgeview, bounded on the west by Ridgeland Avenue and College Drive in Palos Heights, reaching to Southwest Highway.
This initiative aims to enhance the visibility of Arab-owned businesses, foster community pride, and attract more visitors to Little Palestine.
